Last week I had the privilege and honor of seeing
Alistair Begg in
Chapel at the
Southern Baptist Seminary! This has been a long-awaited blessing, as I had meant to see him in person the last time he visited Louisville, KY in 2006. Back then, I told myself that
nothing would stop me from going to hear him speak... that is, until I signed up for a mission trip during the same time he'd be in town. So I missed him then, but not this time! I mean, I do live next door to the Seminary and he happened to be speaking on a day I was free... in fact, I didn't know he was visiting our city until the morning of. My roommate updated me; she and her friends were having Theology Breakfast at the
White House, and I happened to stumble in the kitchen where they were munching on Sausage Breakfast Casserole to hear the update.
......I hope by now you all realize who my blog is named after.... drumroll... let's throw out some hints... his ministry is at this website:

It's Alistair Begg's ministry! haha. Dr. Begg has fed into my doctrine for years; inspiring me and edifying my walk with Christ on his radio broadcasts.
After Alistair finished speaking at Chapel, I
had to run up and tell him I had a blog named after his ministry. I mean, he needs encouragement too, right?! I pushed through the crowd to shake his hand and offer my compliment. Well, no the pushing isn't really how it played out... more like I waited my turn in line to speak with him. But I was number 3 in line, after all. Eager beaver?! haha
